ஸ்ரீ ரெங்கநாதர் கோயில் – உதயகிரி
ஆந்திரமாநிலம் பிரகாசம் மாவட்டத்தில் உதயகிரி என்ற ஊரில் இந்த பழமையான கோயில் அமைந்துள்ளது . உதயகிரி கோட்டைக்கு செல்லும் வழியில் இந்த கோயில் அமைந்துள்ளது . கோயிலின் பிரமாண்டத்தை பார்த்து பிரமித்து போய் நான் உள்ளே சென்றேன் . மிகவும் பாழடைந்து இடிபட்டு இக்கோயில் காணப்பட்டது . தொல்லியல் கட்டுப்பாட்டில் உள்ள இந்தக்கோயில் முன் சிறிய கேட் இருந்தது அதன் வழியாக உள்ளே சென்றால் மொட்டை கோபுரம் தெரிந்தது , அதன் வெளி பிரகாரத்தில் இரண்டு பகுதியிலும் இடிக்கப்பட்ட நிலையில் மண்டபத்தின் தூண்கள் மட்டும் இருந்தது . இடது புறத்தில் நான்கு கால் மண்டபம் இரண்டு காணப்பட்டது . இக்கோயிலின் வெளி சுவர்கள் ஒரு காலத்தில் மிக பிரமாண்டமாக இருந்ததிற்கு சாட்சியாக அவைகள் பெரும்பகுதி இடிந்த நிலையில் காணப்படுகிறது .
மொட்டை கோபுரத்தில் நிறைய சிற்பங்கள் மிக அழகாக செதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன . அவைகள் முகமதியர்கள் தாக்குதல்களால் மூக்குடைந்து கை உடைந்து காணப்பட்டது . இவ் கோபுரத்தில் உள்ள கும்பங்கள் மிக அழகாக இருந்தது . இக்கோயில் இரண்டு பிரகாரங்களை கொண்டிருந்தது .
கோயிலின் உள்பிரகாரங்கள் மிகவும் இடிந்து பரிதாப நிலையில் இருந்தது . இந்த பிரகாரத்தில் தெற்கு பார்த்தவாறு நான்கு நிலை ராஜகோபுரம் அந்த பழமை மாறாமல் காட்சிதருகிறது . அதன் வழியாக நேராக பார்த்தல் நாம் கருவறையை பார்க்கலாம் .கருவறை கோபுரம் முற்றிலும் இடிக்கப்பட்டு மொட்டையாக காட்சிதருகிறது .
இந்த கருவறையானது மகாமண்டபம் முக்த மண்டபம் என சேர்ந்து உள்ளது . கருவறையின் உள்ளே சென்றால் ஐயோ என்ன சொல்ல ? பெருமாள் சிலையே அங்கு இல்லை , அதன் பீடம் அமைத்திருந்த அந்த அடையாளம் மட்டுமே அங்கு இருந்தது . இதை பார்த்தபோது மனம் கனத்தது . இங்கிருந்த சிலைதான் நெல்லூர் பெருமாள் கோயிலில் உள்ளதாக சொல்கிறார்கள் .
உள்பிராகாரத்தை வளம் வரும் பொது இடது புறத்தில் இரண்டு மண்டபங்களை நாம் காணலாம் . அதில் உள்ள தூண்கள் மிகவும் நேர்த்தியாக செதுக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது . கருவறை வெளிசுவரில் நிறைய சிற்பங்கள் நேர்த்தியாகவும் அழகாகவும் செதுக்கியிருந்தார்கள் .
அப்படியே கோயிலை ஒரு கனத்த இதயத்தோடு சுற்றி வந்தோம் . இக்கோயிலானது கஜபதி ராஜ மற்றும் விஜயநகர அரசர் காலத்தை சேர்ந்ததாக இருக்கும் என்று தெரிகிறது . திம்மராஜு காலத்தில் இக்கோயில் புனரமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கலாம் என்று கருதப்படுகிறது . முகமதியர் காலத்தில்இக்கோயில் முழுவதும் பாதிப்புள்ளாயிருக்கிறது நம் கண்களுக்கு இன்றும் தெரிகிறது .
நீங்கள் இக்கோயிலுக்கு செல்லும் போது அருகில் உள்ள பைரவகோண குடைவரை கோயிலுக்கும் சென்று வாருங்கள் .

This ancient temple is located in Udayagiri in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh. This temple is located on the way to Udayagiri Fort. I went in awestruck by the grandeur of the temple. The temple was found very dilapidated and collapsed. There was a small gate in front of this temple which is controlled by archeology. If you go in through it, you can see the mota gopuram, and only the pillars of the mandapam were demolished in both parts of its outer prakaram. Two four-legged mandapams were seen on the left side. The outer walls of this temple are seen to be in a ruined condition as a testimony to the fact that they were once very grand.
A lot of sculptures are carved very beautifully in Motta Gopuram. They were found with their noses and arms broken by the attacks of the Mohammedans. The fountains in this tower were very beautiful. The temple had two parts.
The interior of the temple was in a very dilapidated condition. In this prakaram, the four-tiered Rajagopuram can be seen from the south. Looking straight through it we can see the sanctum sanctorum. The sanctum sanctorum tower is completely demolished and bare.
This sanctum sanctorum is together with Mahamandapam Mukta Mandapam. What to say if you go inside the womb? The statue of Perumal was not there, only the sign on its pedestal was there. My heart was heavy when I saw this. It is said that the statue from here is in Nellore Perumal temple.
We can see two halls on the left side of the common entrance to the inner palace. The pillars in it were very finely carved. On the outer wall of the sanctum sanctorum, many sculptures were carved elegantly and beautifully.
So we went around the temple with a heavy heart. It seems that this temple belongs to the period of Gajapati Raja and Vijayanagara kings. It is believed that the temple was reconstructed during the Thimmaraju period. Even today we can see that the entire temple has been damaged during the Mohammedan period.
When you go to this temple, also visit the nearby Bhairavakon Kudaivara temple.

From Chennai you have to go to Nellore and from there to Udayagiri. The temple is located at walking distance from Udayagiri bus stand.
